Estonia is completely covered by three mobile network service providers. All the operators offer internet connections, and in larger towns and cities at least a 3G connection is available.
Additionally, internet via radio frequencies is available throughout the country. Of Estonia’s 45,000 square kilometers, there are more than 1,140 publicly registered wireless internet points, most of which are available without cost. It is difficult to find a cafe or restaurant without free, wireless internet, and the majority of local governments are also covered by wireless. It’s difficult to find a place in Estonia where the internet does not reach. Even under the most extreme circumstances it’s only a few hundred meters to the nearest signal.
